I just bought this bluetooth adapter along with the destinator 3 software. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it will be best to use NMEA or SiRF and in what BAUD RATE.

make the BAUD as fast as your GPS puts out (it should be in the GPS docs)
as for NMEA or SiRF, I cant really say I use NMEA and it works great and a standard for must GPS, but if your GPS supports SiRF all I can say is go for a drive with both and see which one you like the most. It probably wont make much difference but I have no experience with SiRF.

Bluetooth receivers normally work best at NMEA 38400.

The speed is of no particular importance, 4800 is still fast enough to deliver all sequences. 38400 is just the default for BT GPS receivers.

You probably pressed on "Detect GPS" instead of "Set PS". Upon Autodetection Bluetooth GPS receivers will work at any speed they get asked to run on, 57600 is probably the first on the asking list.

If your receiver works then don't worry. Leave ti at this setting.
