Followed TomTom instructions and still no joy.
Its bonded and finds satalites with blue/yellow wheel spinning with time but
says No valid Gps signal! even when left for hours still no good?.
PLEASE help

where have you left the gps does it have a clear veiw of the sky it might be an idea to drain the gps battery then recharge it and try again

The receiver is in on the window ledge.
Why does it see the satalites but wont work?

Exactly which GPS unit is it - if it is in sirf mode TT5 won't recognise it - (TT3 did) you need to det it to NMEA - just a thought - Mike

If it hasn't been used for some time, you need to leave it on for up to 15 minutes before it will get a fix, and it almost certainly won't lock on if you are moving.
For example, I have 2 receivers, and this afternoon switched on one which I haven't used for about 4 weeks. I didn't have time to wait around, so started driving straight away and it hadn't managed to fix after an hour. When I got back home I parked the car in the drive and left it switched on. Five minutes later it had a fix! When I used the car about 3 hours later, the fix was instantaneous
