I have just had a play with a program called "Crux II GPS View" by Emtac. This can be found at http://www.gpsoz.com.au/bluetooth_crux_ce.htm.

I set up the Com Port and Baud rate as usual, then in the Protocol Tab I clicked on the "Set NMEA Update Rate", then on the SBAS Tab i changed the SBAS Channel setting to auto.

Lo and behold I now have satellites showing in the status bar and GPS Status.

It works for my Leadtek 9531, I see no reason why it shouldn't work for all.

I hope that this is of some use to those with this problem.

Jamie

I had a problem that, although everything worked OK except the satellite bar on the status bar remained blank, and the GPS setup in the setup menu showed a position but no bars on the display.

Do you have this problem?

No!

I thought this might help with the apparent slow refresh rate I get on the map.

Thanks though.
