|
|
Hi
I am using the latest software for CSV to GPX
Garmin PoiLoader downlad
UK - Spped Zone Complete
Wav - Female with Chime Prefix
The CSV to GPX on processing, gives an error "Invalid file format - Filenames shouls not have number in them"
I did not have this warning with earlier version of CSV to GPX. Any idea on this error please? |

That warning is telling you that the CSV files have a format of say 'gatso_50.csv' instead of the required 'gatso_fifty.csv'
This is usually due to unzipping the main file via Windows instead of using the programs built in unzipper that also performs other pre actions.
If you have used the programs unzip facility then look for a rogue file that has a numeric in it - and delete it. _________________ DashCam:

Strange. I used a 7/2015 version of CSV to GPX and used winzip to extract. There are no issues there. |

Kremmen, your suggestion works but am still curious as to why winzip does not work with the latest version.
Many thanks for your prompt response above. |

Just created the files and loaded them with POI loader to Garmin 2699 SD card. The POI folder still shows a March 2016 file although the transfer appeared to be correctly created. |

Winzip extracts the files exactly as they are in the .zip file. The filename format is incorrect for the converter. If you have a number in the file, POI Loader treats it differently. So whilst the converter unzips the .zip file it also renames them to the correct format (amongst other things). That's why. |
