I've deleted all my favorties thinking I was clearing recent selections. Now I was hoping to get them back from my PC, which I save the Garmin folder to each month, but copying back to the nuvi doesn't over write the .gpx file. Have I saved it wrong on my PC by just copying across or doing something wrong copying back. Hopfully someone out there my have an answer
Thanks Chris |

You need to copy current.gpx from your back up but rename it to something else, eg temp.gpx, then place that in the GPX folder on your nuvi.
On boot the nuvi rewites current.gpx from its internal memory, merging into it any other .gpx file it finds. That'll restore your favourites. Then delete temp.gpx
If you simply copy it across as current.gpx it's overwritten with what's in memory, in your case nothing! And if you don't delete temp.gpx afterwards you'll never be able to delete any of the favourites it contains, as they'll be reloaded every time you boot! |
