|
|
I am going to Spain tomorrow so I loaded the Iberia Plus maps onto my SD card & thought I'd plan a few routes. When I browse the map I can see all of the POI's (in particular golf courses). My problem is that when I try & use A-B planning or FIND using a POI I get the message "No Valid GPS Signal" & then when I choose a POI category it says "No POI found".
I have tried this when I have a GPS signal but still no luck. :x
I have had no problems using the GB Plus maps.
I installed the maps via active synce using the install program, do I need to copy/install anything else??
What I have done as a work around solution is browse the map to find my POI & then save it as a favourite, this then works.
Any ideas???
Thanks. |

Hi floody,
Are you using the standard built-in POIs that come with TomTom or some third party POIs?
Are you using a legitimate or pirate copy of TomTom Navigator 5?
What version of TomTom Navigator 5 are you using (5.00 or 5.10)?
Can you browse the Iberia Plus maps?

Privateer,
I'm using built in POI's ,legit copy, V5.0 & yes I can browse the map, I can even see the POI's when I browse which is why it's getting me stumped. |

Hi floody,
I’m not using the Iberian Plus maps (haven’t loaded them), however I’m using GB Plus on my iPAQ 2210 and I’ve connected to my BT GPS Receiver (GlobalSat BT-338). I’m in a shielded building so even my trusty SiRF III receiver can’t get a satellite lock on!
Right, using Advanced planning, if I select Point of interest, I also get the “No valid GPS signal” message flash up. However the system allows me to select a POI for both Departure and Destination locations. I can then run the demo using those two locations.
You may want to install TomTom Navigator 5.10, but before you do ensure that you have a viable backup, preferably by Sprite backup.
