I uninstalled Mio maps, hard reset, and loaded Tomtom Nav 2004. It appears on the startup and in programs but it will not load, it locks up and I have to soft reset. I think I have figured out the gps settings. Does the gps need to find a fix in orer for the program to load? |

No, the GPS doesn't need to have a fix.
However, what you may try to do is do a hard reset, load just the GPS driver (from the gps.cab) , and then use the old control applet ("TomTom GPS.EXE") to see if the receiver is working.
If if is then the problem is somewhere in TTN2004. _________________ Lutz

Try removing the SD card and installing a small 16Mb Map into main memroy then test to see if TomTom launches? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi there, I could not load Tomtom 2004 on my navman pin which I think is a Mio. I downloaded the ipaq 2110 update from tomtom and it loads and runs. Don't know if this is the proper way to do it but it worked for me. good luck.....dusty |

Go back to your original post and scroll down to the april 15th post by snooper about tomtom hp rz1710. link is posted in there. I don`t know how to post link or I would. Let me know if you find it OK. I just figured I would try it since nothing else worked and it worked. |
