I have been very disappointed with the 630 V2 software so started to research alternative devices when Navman announced V3 software for the 630 and also the 635.
Does anyone know what the differences are between a 630 with the new V3 software and a 635 with the V3 European software apart from the obvious cost difference?
All I’ve found is the ability to use a remote control unit with the 635. |

Hi,
If you read this review for the iCN510 you will see a list of enhancements that v3 gives you.
The software and screenshots will be identical on the 630 with v3 installed, just ignore the hardware section. _________________ Ian.

I spoke to a couple of resellers who gave me wrong information such as the iCN 630 has a faster processor, then I managed to get a reply from Navman who stated that the 635 hardware is identical to the 630 except for the remote control option.
Simply select the V3 software upgrade for ether the UK or UK and Europe and that is it.
Hope this helps other people trying to decide whether to upgrade or replace. |

The Navman website sells 1GB cards, but states that they are only for ICN635, not recommended for ICN630. _________________ Tomtom Go 1005

My 1GB SD card worked OK in ICN 630. No problems at all. You can put on it 976MB of maps. Just do not buy a generic slow card, but good quality fast card. _________________ Daniel
