|
|
hi guy's,
Sins donkey years I'm using a ppc for my navigation around Australia!
Using a toshiba e350 with my own developt nav software, later i started using
Destinator 3 australia and destinator Europe PN.
A month ago i decided to upgrate my hardware to a toshiba e800 bt with a rikaline 6030 bt, I'm using Destinator PN and Tomtom 5.
But there is no way that it will work!
As soon as i start destinator or tomtom i see that the ppc pairs with the gps, but somehow no data is sent to the sofware i'm using.
The funny thing is that i have a old version of tomtom 1.0 if i use that everything works great! I tried the program winfast to find the right com ports, but even that program does'nt get any signal.
I only know that the tomtom 1.0 has more choises for gps configuration.
(nmea 0183v2 bluetooth : bluetooth card)
Whilw those options are not avelable in destinator pn and tom tom5.
Is there any one arround who can help me or can share the problem.
I looked arround every where in news groups and asked for help at helpdesks!
config: toshiba E800 bt, rikaline 6030 bt, win ce 2003,latest rom versions and drivers. |

Use SiRFDemo or the old TomTom GPS driver to switch the receiver into NMEA mode at 38400 baud _________________ Lutz

In tt5 gps settings use "other wired gps" set the baud speed, then select the correct bt port for your device from the list, I know its strange selecting wired when using bluetooth devices but it works - mike |
