Here we are again back at CeBIT in Hannover. This time we are staying right in the centre of the city with our fingers on the pulse of what is happening.
We will be logging all the exhibition news in the CeBIT forum, and also cataloguing all the articles we write on this page.
Today has started of with a flood of press releases. My poor fingers are struggling to keep up.
Lets hope you have as much fun as we are.
Click here to access a list of the articles we are publishing during the event. We will also be updating a picture on an irregular basis. _________________ Mike Barrett

Morning all! Should the caption for the current picture not be "Robert and Darren" rather than "Darren and Robert" (unless my memory is failing me Rob Brady is on the left and Darren the right)? Anyway - it looks like a nice breakfast in front of them.
I'm sitting here waiting to see what people think about the releases from TomTom and Navman that we have this far. Maybe everyone is still reading as I don't see any responses as yet!

I always fall to the organising of names in alphabetical order. So although when writing reviews with others I tend to put the names in Surname order. _________________ Mike Barrett |

When are you going to meet the Finnish Navicore team? They have a nice product also. |

I should have read that last night. I now have a slight hangover in Hannover. 8O Nothing that the cold German morning air wont cure though. _________________ Mike Barrett |

It's strange that you really didn't post any information about TomTom UIQ. They HAVE showed this product to the public.
Also maybe it's also worth to walk to the Wayfinder stand. They are presentating their new version of Wayfinder for Symbian and a Java version for the other phones. |

I have spoken with Lutz and he says nothing was on demo or mentioned about the UIQ platform when they met with TomTom.
Wayfinder is next on the list. |

No UIQ phones are in the TomTom Mobile 5 press release.
Though it appears that TomTom have shown a version of TomTom Mobile running on UIQ to people, they haven't announced availability, and I have heard it said that there was a UIQ version shown at CeBIT last year which hasn't launched.

The people that saw that UIQ version are saying that TT hopes to get it into the stores at the end of May/begin April.
It's very strange they still don't announce this officially for the second time at the cebit. Now let's see what Wayfinder will bring. |
