Hi everyone...
i have just bought a nav software for Mercedes Benz GLA 2019.
when i inserted the SD Card, it won't read the card and it says
"No Memory Card Containing Navigation Software installed"
any help to fix this would be much appreciated.
Thanks! |

Here we go again.....
Just got my 2020 C300DE with command online yesterday.
Can’t get anything to load. All trace of personal POI, or navigating to a poi from an SD card has been removed from the system. |

daxeno seemed to be talking about new Sat Nav software, not user POIs.
Clarification would help. |

So command online is HDD run, not SD card like the audio 20 version.
There is no option I can see anywhere in any menu that would indicate you can load personal POI’s onto the system :-( |

You need the latest MBUX software (from late March 2000. Earlier versions did not give audible warning. You can use the Mercedes single file from here but it must be in a folder called PersonalPOI on a memory stick plugged into the front set of usb sockets. You can also music on this memory stick if you wish as long as it is another folder.
Set up the pio option in navigation.
You will get a graphic on the map and a beep - not awfully loud and only about 100yds before hand.
Have a look at the "AClass Club Forum" elsewhere for more information. |

Are the instructions here still relevant: https://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=583794#583794
Or is this a new system from the Comand? |

Unfortunately no good for Command online (NTG 5.2) mate
And yes, MBUX is different again.
Still hoping some one finds a way to add to the new command, but nothing I can figure out or find so far. There is no option in any menu for ‘personal POI’.
The system does have POI baked in, and you can save locations, so just need to find a way into the software to input the locations. |

You have actually quoted instructions on how to do it. Have you even tried that? |

The instructions are for Mercedes Command, not Mercedes MBUX. I’ve checked and can’t find any mention of these POIs working on MBUX. I don’t want to pay for a subscription that might not work. |

Oh sorry. I was completely fooled into tying the first five words in the quote to the first sentence of your question. Silly me.
But in my defence, I have a lowly Honda, not a Merc.
The single file Merc download is in .gpx format, so not easy to see the underlying format. |

With the previous Merc format the GPX contents needed to be in full capitalised text.
I don't know if that restriction still exists. 50 mph for example needed to be converted to FIFTY MPH. I can't remember what else Nemesis1 found but it's all in his thread. _________________ DashCam:
