Red light Camera warning.

There is a red light camera in my city, the pocket GPS alert doesn't warn you when you're travelling the way the camera gets you ie past it and it looks at the rear of your car. But if you come back down the road on the other side of the carriageway going the other way it then alerts you of the camera even though it's on the other side of the road getting that side.. Any idea how to change this so it alerts when your travelling the way the camera gets you?

Click on the Big Yellow pointy finger in the right hand margin next to this reply. On the map, find the camera in question and edit it's details.

PGPSW cameras alert whichever direction your travelling, are you sure that's not a cyclops one as those are directional? The other possibility is because you know it's there you are well under the limit so may not get the alert, travelling the other way you're driving faster so you are.

Is speed relevant here suss as it's a REDLIGHT according to OP.
And if it is a Cyclops one, it is warming in the wrong direction. Crying or Very sad

Is it a redlight or redspeed. I'll bet a lot don't realise the difference.

Hi, the camera is a new Truvelo Redlight camera and speed on green, only changed from a PEEK Redlight only camera around a year ago. The Cyclops picks it up fine in the right direction. There's another redlight/speed on green camera about a mile and half down the road and gpsworld picks that up spot on. I will report it like the post above said

Next time your down there have a look at the road across the junction.

Redlight is plain but RedSpeed have horizontal white lines across the junction to help identify speeders.

If you can grab the PGPSW camera number or give us a detailed location

There's another couple further down the road towards the M1 but the alerts on those are spot on. A bit naughty those ones are though as they've set the traffic lights so they only let about 5-10 cars through if you're lucky, catches lots out especially lorries when they're 2nd or 3rd in the queue to set off they struggle to get the last half of the wagons through in time before changing..

9101 is set correctly to alert. I've adjusted the heading slightly but unless your device uses that then it won't make a difference.

Do you have another database on the device that could be interfering?

He is running Cyclops as well to get the best of both worlds.

Have a read of post #3 again. Are you absolutely sure that sentence two is not relevant both for the problem REDSPED?

It's a RedSpeed and Garmin, in its infinite wisdom, only recognise "Redlight" to trigger a warning regardless.

As I've mentioned before, Garmin logic is .... 'if your under the limit by a Garmin defined % and you're not accelerating' then you often won't get a warning.

The OP, knowing his area, keeps under the limit travelling NW but is not so bothered travelling SE.

Another reason to consider the Converter as that triggers a warning regardless of speed.

Yes my sat nav now runs Garmin Cyclops camera alerts and the pocketGPSworld ones, that is the only camera the latter doesn't warn on though all the others it warns even if I'm under the limit.
