Installed as normal (download zip file (I've tried speed alert plus others) unzipped, add database , all goes well pocket....txt is shown but with zero poi's and a sad green face
Clicking the green face gives me this error "no persistable permissions grants found for UID 11229 and Uri content://com.cxinvento......" ?? |

The links for that error don't mean a lot to me but sort of point to either a security issue or a storage issue.
Check phone free space
Check STA permissions _________________ DashCam:

I don't unzip the file once downloaded. I just navigate to the zip file/ appropriate file and let STA extract it. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

After a bit of investigation the only way to add the database's is but using the default file manager none of the after market ones work
I'm guessing this is something to do with the last update which happens last week as it worked fine before
With the default file manager I do not have to unzip the download
I'm running the app on an unrooted Galaxy S10 |

So am I, Galaxy S10
I download the latest database, that gives me a message that it has been downloaded and gives me a prompt to open it which I ignore.
I then use STA, Settings, Databases, the top "+" symbol.
That takes me to 'Downloads, Recent'.
Then I tap the pgpsw-speed ~' file (which is always top left for me), and that opens a popup box, 'select file'
I select the bottom pocket~.txt file.
That then shows me the last file and the new one and I 'remove' the old one. _________________ DashCam:

OK. Now for the easy way.
Email the following link to yourself
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras&op=DownloadPackage&idPackage=500
Star it (or whatever) so that the email doesn't 'get lost'.
Logon to PGPSW on your phone (The logon will stick so no need every time)
Click the link (the correct database without pMobiles) will be downloaded to your 'Downloads' folder
Now 'link' STA database settings to your downloads folder.
Long winded explanation, but a 'two/three click' update.
PS. This will only work if you are a paid up member |
