Can anyone recommend a USB cable that I can use between my device and a power socket to power Garmin devices I have tried lots of other micro USB cables and Garmin says it’s not supported and won’t charge thank you |

Ah yes, the old third party USB cable problem.
The underlying problem can be either an underpowered USB adapter, a wrong cable that makes the Garmin think it's being connected to a PC but can't see it.
All I can say is you're best to get a Garmin TA10 or TA20 cable. _________________ DashCam:

Yes, £25 sounds expensive.
Amazon have them much cheaper, I just searched and the first hit was £6.99.
What I did was to wire a female power socket into the under dash fusebox so my wiring is hidden.
Even though they tell you not to, I coiled the cable and cable tied it to the metal end dash support which seems to be acting as a signal booster because even though only 6" of cable is visible from dash top to Garmin I'm getting 4 or 5 bars in the traffic signal display.
You can make out the coil in this WIP shot with the dash end panel off:
and the only bit of my 'traffic' cable that is visible and can 'see the sky' is this:

I plug a 4 socket adaptor into my 12v supply. It runs 2x phone chargers and the Garmin. There are some around that just use usb as well, so even less room taken up. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |
