Hi, I have an active 10, which l bought around a year ago second hand, it's been fantastic, replaced the normal battery cage with the proper Lipoyl rechargeable battery from satmap and all the proper charger and cable too. I'm an avid mtb cyclist and use it all the time so as not to get lost on my travels. So the device is frequently getting charged overnight. On Saturday, the screen started to flash irratically when l plugged it in, and now it won't even turn on. When you press the on button it flashes once and turns off, any ideas????
Thanks |

This happened to me at the weekend, it flashed a white screen and switched off. The problem is track logging is clogging memory and causing a crash. SatMap Active runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system, therefore is susceptible to Microsoft Windows type problems. Memory management is important with the SatMap, be mindful to stop and save/reset Track Logs. If you have problems, as with Windows PCs, first switch it off/on, or plug it in and reset everything!
How to fix white screen flash power on issue:
1) Plug your SatMap into the computer using the USB lead, it should then power on by itself.
2) Main Menu - Settings Button - Default Button - Yes - Clear All
3) Trip Log Screen - Menu - Reset All.
The SatMap is still 500% better than any Garmin, all of which are an absolute dog to use.

Really? I tried a satmap once and wouldn't touch one with a barge pole _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |
