I would like to buy an in car satellite navigation system where you can add speed camera information. Do any exist? I know you can add them to the PDAs but I want it for one of these systems that have flipout screens and are built into the car.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

None so far. It still holds true that a good PPC GPS system is far in advance of any in-car systems for features etc. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thats not quite true...
You can get an add-on CD for the Becker Traffic Pro that introduces detection of speedtraps. Unfortunately, it only covers certain areas of Europe and specifically not the UK!
Having sneeked a peek at the CD for the add-on, it uses an OVC (?) file to provide the data to the unit. Anyone know what this is?
It's damn frustrating knowing that the unit can act as a Speedtrap detector but not being able to do anythng about it. I figure if it has been done for some parts of Europe there has to be a way to do it for the UK. |

Not much use though is it! How often is it updated, how much do the updates cost etc etc. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thats true.
But if I knew how the file was encoded I could just update it myself! |
