I would like to buy an in car satellite navigation system where you can add speed camera information. Do any exist? I know you can add them to the PDAs but I want it for one of these systems that have flipout screens and are built into the car.

Thanks in advance for any help.

None so far. It still holds true that a good PPC GPS system is far in advance of any in-car systems for features etc.

Thats not quite true...

You can get an add-on CD for the Becker Traffic Pro that introduces detection of speedtraps. Unfortunately, it only covers certain areas of Europe and specifically not the UK!

Having sneeked a peek at the CD for the add-on, it uses an OVC (?) file to provide the data to the unit. Anyone know what this is?

It's damn frustrating knowing that the unit can act as a Speedtrap detector but not being able to do anythng about it. I figure if it has been done for some parts of Europe there has to be a way to do it for the UK.

Not much use though is it! How often is it updated, how much do the updates cost etc etc.

Thats true.

But if I knew how the file was encoded I could just update it myself!
