I had the 'moving while standing still' problem which they claim to have fixed. I'll wait for The Usual Suspects to hammer it out before having to waste time going back to 2.7 (cynical? moi? Absolument!) _________________ Garmin StreetPilot i3

No problems so far. No white screen, lock ups, 'moving while standing still' or moving in a totally different direction to the one i am going in or continuing down a road when I've turned off it.
Prompts - better
Screen Update - seems faster and smoother.
Auto Zoom - seems better too
Acquire Satellites Times - seems faster
Calculate and Recalculate Route - seems faster
Time to notice gone "off route" - faster
NOTE: I'm upgrading from 2.7 so some of these updates might not be exclusive to the 3.2 update. 2.7 was the latest Firmware is was happy with.....
Only gripe is the alphanumeric scroller appearing when you select a country - how long is the list? I suspect by the time you scroll to W for Wales you could have scrolled to Wales (on the original list) itself in half the time!! |

Agreed.
In 2d mode redraw rate seems much faster and smother (even better than 2.70).
No white screen either.
Directional arrow seems now to move instantly when turning.
I'll give it a longer test and report back.

Can't see any problems with 3.2 (fingers crossed)
Fast re-draw. Driven over a known route and with going against instructions, I found that re-calculating the route was fast. Driving on 3D with WASS
Upgraded from 2.7FW.
Ready poised to go back to 2.7 if any of the other upgrades are anything to go on.
Let's hope they've cracked it this time.

That was one of the solved issues!
I'm looking forward to an extensive test at the weekend |

with 3.1 my i3 had a nasty habit of just hanging while calculating the route - only way to get it going again would be to totally power off the i3 (no batt's, no cable) and quickly go to menu to turn off gps before it starts calculating...
hopefully this is the issue they fixed! will be giving some severe testing on friday but will take to work tomorrow for a test ;)

Gone from 3.1 to 3.2 today. 3.2 worked perfectly on navigation mode and I could feel the benefits but it had massive (and I mean massive) screen lags on the view map mode. |

I have discovered the following problem with 3.2.
Upgraded this afternoon, cleared all but one single POI from custom points. On the way home from work 3D map mode and track up map mode worked flawlessly, with no lag etc.
At home uploaded speed cam POI's and went for drive to test. Massive screen lag in 3D map mode!!!
As soon as I started from my house the directional arrow refused to move, kept having to press back buttton to refresh screen.
Came back home, deleted POI,s, rolled back to 2.70 then reinstalled 3.2, did a hard reset.
Went for further test with no POI's - PERFECT!!!
It appears that the POI's are causing a serious problem in map mode!!
Can anyone else do a similar test and post the results??
Cheers.

My point is that the list is so short that whats the point? I can't see what was wrong with the old list. Now each time i select an address i need to scroll to E to select England. Does it REALLY save any one ANY REAL time at all? Even those in the middle of the list (Netherlands etc) |
