I've just installed the Spoken warnings for POI alerts into my ttg 300, however it seems to over write the original warning sounds, as I would like to keep some of them for other poi's. Is there a way of choseing which spoken warning are copied to the sd card as the only ones I need are the gatsco speed camera speed setting
regards peter |

If you read this thread it might be of help. It's a long thread but you could try starting at page 22. _________________ Richard

The dataxx.chk files should be in the Root of the SD card. Did you do a full backup of your SD card? If so you can copy these back to the card remembering to check that the engf.vif and engm.vif files are also there. _________________ Richard

Yes I think so I copied the card by dragging the files across and storing them on my pc in another folder,
I only have one,
data.chk 1,035 KB recovered file ragments,
which I cannot open

When you say you only have 1, do you mean on the PC or the TTG?
The data.chk file is the voice alert file. Do not delete unless replacing with different alerts sounds.
As you have the files on your PC you should be able to Copy/Paste the dataxx.chk and .vif files on to the SD card. _________________ Richard

Hello Oldboy,
I backed up the card onto my pc then put a bigger card in my ttg300 and
loaded everything back onto my ttg 300, so I am running on a new bigger card with the information from my back up on my pc with no problems.
Sorry about this but are you saying that this is the file to be renamed/removed and replaced by the new Spoken warnings (5244) for POI alerts |

If you want the 5244 warnings, it replaces the data.chk file. I leave my data.chk on the card and rename it data._hk before I Copy/Paste the new one in. _________________ Richard
