Hi
Can someone tell me that advantages of using the following 2 features of TT6:
Avoid Roadblocks - clicking these seems to bring up a screen where you select a distance?
and
Planning a route using the "Limited Speed" method
Thanks |

Used for when the traffic slows/stops due to accidents/roadworks, etc.
I've used it a couple of times (I always use 3 miles), and in both cases it saved me quite a lot of time.

So, oldboy, you would "recalculate route" and then select "Avoid Roadblocks" when you begin to see problems ahead...is this right? I always assumed it was part of Tom Tom Traffic functionality! _________________ XDA Orbit (the best so far)

Ok, I'm with you - it's different to "Find Alternative" in that it's a temporary diversion from the planned route?

God knows what happend with that last post.
What I meant was:
"Ok, I'm with you - it's different to "Find Alternative" in that it's a temporary diversion from the planned route?" to the first bit
and
"Why?"
to the second bit.
Thanks |

to the second bit. | When you limit the Speed in Planning it seems to use a better Road Selection for larger vehicles. I've never used it myself. I'm just repeating what I've been told.8O
It determines a different ETA because all Roads that have a classification above 54mph will be calculated at 54 instead of 60/70. Hence a longer journey time. _________________ Richard

Some Devices are unable to use Traffic, and sometimes it's nice to be able to decide your own path to tread. _________________ Richard
