Where do i put the voice warnings in tom tom 5 so that i can access them in the program. At the moment i can only access the sounds in built into tomtom. I've put some voice files into the relevant map folder but they dont show up as they did with version 3.

the data.chk file is in the application folder, not in the map folder. _________________ Lutz

You don't use .wav files at all.
You use the new data.chk file which you can get from here.
Just make sure you choose the one that matches your system. _________________ Richard

It's the one in Program Files\Navigator that you have to replace. Data05.chk is Janes Navigation Voice file. _________________ Richard

Ok I now understand what file needs replacing, so i download the 4890 version, rename it data.chk and install it into program files/navigator copying original to pc first and renaming it as old. Do i need to delete it from navigator or will it be overwritten? Sorry to be such a thicko |

Doesn't really matter. I personally delete first. _________________ Richard
