30th Dec 2008 : Sadly with the demise of the Subaru World Rally Team we will be suspending the service. It's been a fun, interesting and at times hectic two year partnership. PocketGPSWorld sends all those involved with the Subaru World Rally Team our best wishes and who knows what the future holds.
As part of our partnership with the Subaru World Rally Team (SWRT), PocketGPSWorld.Com have been working to bring you some superb first of a kind rally related content for compatible navigation devices.
PocketGPSWorld.Com has partnered with the Subaru World Rally Team to launch, for the first time ever, free downloadable GPS POI (Points of Interest) guides to the World Rally Championship's starting with the Wales Rally GB in November 2007.
The guides are compatible with most satellite or personal navigation devices that can accept custom POI files including TomTom, Navman , CoPilot and Garmin. Each set contains the start and finish locations of each rally stage, the service park and where available public car parks and other event locations such as the ceremonial start, finish podium etc.
Once loaded onto your satnav the POIs can be selected and navigated to in the normal way. The system cuts out the need for maps and can quickly and easily calculate alternative routes if required. A must have guide for spectators and those working on the Rally as Marshals etc.
Also, with kind permission of the SWRT we have available for download the official SWRT Car cursor for compatible TomTom devices.
