Does anyone know if it is right that speedtrap alert shows only 15758 POIs on the PGPSW database download? It's a lot less than on cameralert? (Over 47 thousand)

47k in CamerAlert is worldwide :D

The current UK database, downloaded by CSV Converter, contains 15.4k cameras (plus 1.9k pMobiles).
This covers the UK.

Dales.

So is the speedtrapalert database short on that basis then? (15766 in latest download including pmobile)

When I first wrote and tested CSV Converter I counted every database file entry to make sure non were missing.

However, depending on user settings I do create extra entries for approach v overspeed warnings. Plus, via user settings, duplicates like 180 degree motorway gantries can be removed.

STA is directional so is a one to one implementation.

CA appear not to support their own app anymore and certainly not the fault of PGPSW that I can see.
I would suggest a move to SpeedTrap Alert which works incredibly well with the PGPSW database, which as you state you have recently renewed.

CA still works on my Moto G8 Powerlite running Android 10

Still works on my Huawei P20 Pro on Android v10.0, although it can sometimes take several attempts to get it to run. Very Happy

The only reason for that is that the phone manufacturer has retained the older Android libraries.

Other phone manufacturers have removed the older libraries so CA can't find them so it can't run.

Whether newer Moto or Huwaei phones that start out with Android 10 still retain the older libraries is anyone's guess.

I have paid a subscription for Cameralert to use on my Android radio. Unfortunately it crashes as soon as I try to open it.I have an Xtrons PX6 with Android 11.
If an update to fix this is not available then I would like my subscription cancelled and my money returned please.

Bitterly disappointed in the app which worked flawlessly in my old Android 9 phone. But it died and so did your app. Not much use to me when I’ve paid my fees to constantly see people telling you it doesn’t work. So, I’ll just add my voice of moan to the others.

Don't forget that Speedtrap Alert works with newer Android and uses the PGPSW database.

I've been running STA since I got Android 10 and it works perfectly.

I've found that app and it looks very impressive. Wonder if it runs with the TomTom app as Cameralert did? I'll find out one day but as I'm not in the UK at the moment, it's not allowed!!
