Just to note my S20 Ultra Android 10 still works.
My sons Goggle Pixel 3A now updated to Android 11 dosent.
I'm going to put Speedtrap on to both to see how we get on.
My as well do it now as I'm expecting the S20 update to Android 11 will probably break CamerAlert.
Thanks
John

Download and use SpeedTrap Alert instead.

STA uses the PGPSW database so your subscription and superior database is maintained.

There is a thread here, under Android CA, with tips that we have learned.

If this site is to continue to sell subscriptions then something needs to be done as phones seem to be the way to go but after a year of bug reports I'm not persuaded that anyone is investigating.

My Galaxy S20+ (Android 10) used to not run CA, now it does. One of the android monthly updates?

I do prefer Camera Alert to Speedtrap Alert (too complicated to use when driving) so hopefully Android 11 won't break it.

Now that's a coincidence.

A day later and my phone has just updated to Android 11 and Samsung UI3.

CA not working again so back to Speedtrap Alert Sad.

It is a sad fact that CA is now dead or crippled on a range of popular mobile phones.

We have been posting this issue for over a year and yet we have no official response.

I can only assume that the source code is no longer available and the staff here have decided to ignore us rather than tell us the truth.

*We no longer have access to the developer who has the source code
*We no longer have the source code
*We don't want to pay for any development
*We don't intend to develop it any further

*Pick as required

I'm not sure why people keep banging on about this. The problems various have been around for months/years and PGPSW does nothing about it and doesn't bother to even answer queries.

I'd be lost without my SatNag...
Well the Scamera alerts more precisely.
I keep adding/updating all the POI's I find plus scamera's.
However recently my Start 25 began changing from map to menu screen and various setting options all by itself and despite compressed air around the screen edge and then stripping it down to remove the screen to clean it out properly it started doing it again. So I'm at the point where it could fail completely I suppose.
I have a Garmin but the routing is frankly laughable at times. Also the alerts seem all over the place as I described on here several years back now and I struggled badly to rectify that (or more accurately didn't). So I had to think what to do and CA seems the next best thing - a new PND with CA on my phone (HTC U11 running Android 9) seems the best option to me provided it doesn't update (but it hasn't yet as it's an old phone now).

Seems a shame that PGPSW seems to have been almost deliberately cut out of the business, certainly with TT and it would seem many other in-car systems.

Just says that the software is not compatible and I need to upgrade to the latest version. Which is what I have got.

Going to try Speedtrap Alert.
