|
|
Applied the latest April 2017 software and map updates to my TT Go 1005 UK/Europe along with the latest Speed Camera Database and something appears to have killed the audible alert function for POIs.
I've gone through manage POIs to make sure alerts are turned on, and they are, all using the Warn1 tone. The icons all show up on the map and voice directions are still working OK.
Anyone else experienced similar? Is there any way to revert the firmware to the previous version to see if that makes a difference? |

Did you find a fix for this? As per my previous post I had same and delete and re adding worked, but latest update has killed some warnings, delete and re install hasn't worked this time
Randomly get warned of some of the pgpsw camera POIs and others not |

Haha yes I was beginning to think the same as they were seemingly very interested in what types of POI I wanted warnings of, but all credit to them they have fixed it.
For anyone with 1005 series who has similar in future, the symptoms were sporadic POI warnings and the distance did not count down on the icon that shows top left.
Removing and adding POI didn't work
Soft reset didn't work
Partial and full hard reset didn't work
Device recovery from system menu didn't work
...but TomTom support sent a specific update to the device which solved the issue .
I don't know exactly what it was (wasn't a rollback from what I can tell) awaiting to hear back from them, when I do I'll update here |
