2699, working perfectly OK a couple of days ago, now, dead battery 0% and won't charge.
How easy to have a look and possibly change the battery ?
Glad I've got the 2599 as a backup. _________________ Satnav:

Seems to be charging now.
Nothing for the first 10 mins but now at 10% after half an hour on the PC. Now in a proper 5v wall socket.
Thought: Could it be because I plotted a route on Thursday then let it power down. It's been churning away in the background. Maybe it didn't power down properly. _________________ Satnav:

Did you switch it OFF K, or just a quick press into standby? |

Can't remember.
I fully charged it yesterday. If it's OK later then I could have left it on. Normally I let the 15 second countdown take over when I turn the ignition off but I seem to recall I may have said 'no' in a fit of madness.
Watch this space ........
Plan A - it's OK
Plan B - I know someone who has a spare DS61 going cheap
Plan C - Buy a new one _________________ Satnav:

Do a Google on how to replace the battery, where to get one from etc so that you know what can be done when battery life becomes too short. |

When the battery fully dies I'll just get a new one.
I found it odd that even when connected to car power it still didn't power up. Must use the battery so dead battery = dead unit.
It's been out of the car since Sunday midday, just checked it and it's still 90% charged so I must have left it in standby mode. _________________ Satnav:
