Hi, is there any easy way to copy all content from existing Go Live1005 to new refurbished Go Live1005, things like poi's and favourites?

Well, one VERY important thing is to copy mapsettings.cfg from old map folder to new map folder, should get your favourites. Then copy and paste all POIs (including associated BMPs and OGGs) from map folder to hard disk and copy/paste them from hard disk to new map folder. Got to be as easy/quick as whatever method TT have.

Ah, OK thanks. A bit convoluted compared with the good old copy & paste the NAV'2 but if it works, cool Cool

Very convoluted, but I'll give it a try when the new device arrives. Thanks to all.

Hi all, copied all favourites on to new Go Live 1005 with no problems; but I do have another query. I have downloaded the latest PGPSW speed camera database and have installed them on said device, but while trying to set warnings I have gone to settings, manage poi's, warn when near and then tap on first PGPSW camera, set warning distance and then next, warn only if poi is on route and the only option then is Done. I can't remember how I set the voice warnings on my old 1005, I can't even choose what warning sound let alone the ogg file voice warnings. Any helpers out there know what I'm doing wrong?

Something seems to be missing there - it's normal to be asked for the sound you want, except if you have already loaded OGG files, it merely asks "Is this the sound you want" BUT with no sound! And you simply say YES (to accept the No sound!). I wonder if the MDC transfer process takes care of that for you. Can you do a simulated run past a camera to see if that is the case?

Thanks Dennis, you've helped a lot over the past years and this time is no exception. I had already had the device out on the road yesterday and I was just getting a non descript beep-beep when approaching cameras. This morning I deleted all PGPSW cameras and re-installed them, went through the same rigmarole of setting warning distances on all categories and then tried a demo on the device. All seem to be fine, so as you suspected, the ogg files are automatically taken care of. Not sure why it didn't work yesterday though.

Just goes to show, ignorance (mine) is bliss. Give me a typewriter and enough time and I'll write a new play à la Shakespeare!

By the way, I suspect the non descript beeps were for TomTom cameras, not pgpsw - they do have the odd ones correct! Time will tell, when you get non descript beeps again if you haven't disabled TT cameras.
