So I've looked through all the Jaguar related posts, printed out the instructions from member my1690 (many thanks for this!) and taken out my subscription.
I've formatted an old memory stick and downloaded all the relevant UK and EU speed camera files (I live in France and occasionally travel to UK). I followed the instructions and they are now in the Jaguar XF satnav system under "My POIs". I've individually "edited" each so that they are set to "sound on" and "show on map".
But when I set out on a route which I know has an average speed camera, I got no visual or sound when I passed it. The navigation system was on (I presume this is what is meant by "map view") although I had not plumbed in a route. When I did set a route (afterwards, in my driveway) and used the touch screen to progress it to the end, there was still no visual of the ave speed camera that I know has been there for a long time.
The POIs listed include garages, hotels, golf courses etc, but no speed cameras. Should I be seeing a POI for speed cameras?
I am not a happy bunny right now and would really appreciate some useful pointers.

OK so I had another trip today on the autoroute to Caen, and surprise, surprise, I received several "chime chimes" on the way. It looks like my trial run earlier last week passed a couple of average speed cameras which are not on the database, I presume this is why they did not show?
I was certainly impressed with the way in which the speed camera icons showed up today on my satnav, and by the way, I was getting the chime chime around 4-500m ahead.
