Hi Tonaud,

Presumably you've moved from Windows to Mac, if the is the case then go through the process of selecting SatNav System; Camera Selections; Available Voice Packs and then hot the download button to save to a folder of your choice.

Have you installed the Unarchiver? If so, right-click on the .zip file that you've just downloaded and then open with the Unarchiver.

What SatNav database are you downloading?

Regards,

Thanks for the reply. Therein lies the problem. It will not download the zip file - just a txt file!?

I've cracked it. As I say, it downloads a txt file. When the next screen comes up showing the zip file and 'click on this if download not started' I rt click and request 'copy accompanying file'. It then downloads the zip file.

A bit convoluted but that is the MAC for you!!

Does it normally behave like that Robert? Sound wrong to me.
@Tonaud. What are the contents of the .txt file? Knowing that might just help a bit.

Thanks Anita. What did I do wrong? I mostly get them right when doing it 'manually'. If you'll pardon the expression.

I still want to know why admins have decided that we can't edit out own posts in certain sections of this forum and seem reluctant to do anything about it. Crying or Very sad I have banged on about this several times before. Rolling Eyes

There was a space between 'quote=' and '"Privateer"'.

I've no idea why you can't edit posts in some sections. I've seen your complaints before but they seem to fall on deaf ears.

Or is there a reason that you can't/won't.

No, M, my Mac just lets me select the criteria for the speed camera download, I hit the download button and save it in a folder that I've already created for that download. I suspect that it's a setting in the browser (the default browser is Safari). The OP could try a different browser (e.g. Chrome).

I've done a quick Google and can't find anything useful as to why the OP gets txt instead of a zip file. I've also experimented with some of the settings in Safari but I can't replicate the problem.

I don't remember having this problem when I moved from Windows (8.1) to Mac. All I did was install the necessary Unarchiver to un-zip files.

Sorry Embarassed

Regards,
