No, I did it before. But on reflection I suppose this was again. _________________ Dennis

I’m cleverer than you - I can fiddle with the card in the van. _________________ Dennis

Krem, I ordered that 128GB Samsung card. So far, I've had SEVEN emails from them detailing progress.I wonder if pixels are recyclable? _________________ Dennis

Looking at my 312 spec. it seems the 128GB card will give me up to 20 hours recording at 1080P. That'll do very nicely. _________________ Dennis

My card arrived yesterday from Scan via DPD.
It came in a bubble wrapped parcel that would not have fitted through the letterbox, all for a playing card size package.
Fit it indoors above a plain coloured floor for when you launch it across the room.
I'm still interested in the 612 but I'm going to wait for reviews and sample footage. They are being delivered exclusively to Halfords this weekend according to Tiffany at Nextbase. _________________ Satnav:

I DON'T BELIEVE THIS !!!!!
When we got in the van this morning, Vera started looking round for the missing micro SD card. So to show her how difficult finding it is, I took out another in its full size adapter, pulled it out and said This is what we're looking for. And dropped it. The van now is highly valuable, having three micro SD cards concealed somewhere about its person. Hunting again, I found a hairclip (not one of mine, I don't have the hair for it), three fisherman's friends and two extra strong mints, but not a sign of those pesky micro SD cards. _________________ Dennis

Nice new 128GB card arrived during DPD delivery hour. It's safely in the dashcam too, just going to pop round the corner to check it works. _________________ Dennis

They're ALL in the van. Just some are more in the van than others!
The new card seems to work OK - it said card error, format card, so I did and it worked fine. Formatting didn't take any time at all, so I don't know what the Nextbase does to format them. _________________ Dennis

Brilliant.
You always have to format new cards in the cam, haven't a clue why.
That's you sorted.

Next? Well, maybe another hunt for those cards. Vera suggested I clean the van out with a brush, but I'm a whitevanman. Besides which, there were spare Fisherman's Friends and Extra Strong Mints in there that I didn't know I had - certainly can't hoover it as that would suck them up (the cards as well as the Fisherman's Friends and mints). By the way, for any potential buyers - there are a couple of pound coins in there too (old style). I did buy a long springy grabby thing to get them out - I got one out, but the others are still there. That was £5 for a springy grabby thing, to get £1 out. _________________ Dennis

Fair enough, but I've never had a problem with installation nor movement, as all of mine (I have four HD-2s) are installed via a suction mount for ease of change and 1080p 20 Mb/s bitrate gives a good enough video for evidence together with HDR video is OK day or night. So I'm happy, but what do I know, eh?
I did try an RAC unit but that used a micro SD card and I do prefer the standard sizes SD card for ease of fitting and removal because I swap my cards every few days (daily if on holiday) as I prefer to keep a full copy of all of my journeys for at least six months.

Be honest Robert. The reason you prefer full size SD cards is you're even worse than I am at finding micro ones. _________________ Dennis

I'll admit to launching the micro SD card on a number of different occasions but it was always the same micro SD card and I always did find it although the finding would often take a lot of time together with the very occasional swear word!
