....an option to show your "thanks" or "like" a particular post.
Sorry I couldn't find a more appropriate section to post this suggestion/request |

Oh please NOT! There is not much which sickens me more than the Paul O'Grady like advert. _________________ Dennis

I only asked because by having a small/simple/indiscreet "like" or "thanks" button it could a) save people spending their valuable time adding a new post just to say thanks and/or b) not being seen to have appreciated the post
I'm not trying to re-home a dog...(not until after Christmas) but then again...? |

There you go. Another 2 or 3 inches of screen real estate wasted, And that's without a multi line sig block like some have. |

They started a 'like' system over on my car forum and it's not working in the way it was intended. There are a number of small 'clicky' groups who 'like' every post in their group regardless.
It's like another post count badge. _________________ DashCam:

So don't actually show the number or thanks/likes against a post as that will hopefully minimise the "groupies/luvvies" |

Not showing a likes count would utterly defeat the idea and we wouldn't have to save any dogs either. LIKE. _________________ Dennis

Show the amount of Likes or Thanks and the username giving the it in the post, but don't show them in the giver's user profile, so there is no point in trying to raise your Like score because you don't have one, so to speak. |

Ya mean groupies/luvvies profiles show how many dogs they've saved? _________________ Dennis

Am I being a thick southern softie pants Dennis, as I can see no connection between Likes and dogs, only licks and dogs. Please explain for a simpleton. |

Have you not seen the Paul O'Grady advert where he leafs through pictures of dogs saying like to each one and goes on and on and on liking and liking and liking and liking. You could start to DISlike dogs. _________________ Dennis
