activesync through Bluetooth

Hi there. I have an XDAII and and MSI USB bluetooth dongle. I would like to be able to active sync the two.

I have enabled Bluetooth on the XDA and installed all the drivers on the laptop.

I have managed to bond the two devices succesfully.

I then have installed activesync 3.7.1.

The problem is that activesync does not see the bonded devices. It goes through looking through com ports 1 to 11, and USB but finds nothing.

How can get activesync to recognise the bond?

I have manged to activesync using the cradle etc, but I would love to be wireless through bluetooth.

Hi Andy

when the two are bonded start activesync on the xda. when it starts go to TOOLS and the select 'connect via BT with *******' (*=pc name). you may have to play with the com port setting on th pc to find the right one, whilst its trying to connect.

It will disconnect after sync but you can change this by going to Options/ schedule on the activsync on the PC. If you also go to options/Rule and set the 'passthrough' to ' the Internet' you can browse the internet via your pc's internet connection.
