On Startup of CamerAlert you can launch other apps automatically.
In the past this worked fine and would open the original (retiring) TomTom app with no problem. (now takes a lot longer in v 1.23 but still works great)
However I cannot find a way to launch the new TomTom Go app automatically.
Am I missing something or is this another feature of the new Go version?
(no point asking in the TomTom forum as they refuse to recognise any other apps exist - especially Camera based ones even though their offering is pants ) |

Does the new app have a way to share your location with friends? If so then see if it sends a message that has a custom URL such as newtomtomapp://some_stuff_here
In that example, entering 'newtomtomapp://' in the 'custom uri' option will allow that app to work with CamerAlert's 'on startup also run' feature.

Thanks MaFt
unfortunately the new TomTom GO has nothing of use like this - seem to have spent all their budget/time/braincells on rending obscure buildings in 3D so we can watch them as they scroll past (instead of looking out the window at the real thing) |
