I have downloaded the Map for the western Mediterranean that includes Israel, I sat at a home in Tel-Aviv about a 0.5 to 1mile inland from the beach, the position (triangle) shown on the map was out at sea and north of my true location, so how good are these Mapsend, BlueNav maps? or is the position in error? or, possibly I'm doing something wrong!
BTW you may have noticed, I'm a newbie GPS user.

I get the same issue with Mapsend Worldwide. The GPS unit itself is accurate, it's the map overlay that seem to be out on mine.

Does anyone know if its possible to realign the map using fixed points?

Also does anyone know if the new Mapsend UK ordinance suffers from the same alignment proplem?

Thanks, Wook

Hi Wook, thanks for your response. Meanwhile I discovered that the position credibility improves when using a detaied map zoomed to 0.45 Mi.
Cannnot help you on the UK ordenance though.
