Finally Google has seen sense and reintroduced Android data storage (and also app code) on SD card!
This was discontinued after Android 4.0.4 but is now back again with Lollipop.

My Xperia has nearly 12GB of free 'phone storage but with full Europe maps of 3 GB and Australia/NZ with 1 GB (I have both installed) even I was getting storage warnings!

So I uninstalled Europe (and deleted my maps on 'phone) and reloaded it with maps on SD card.

And I also re-installed Australia/NZ.
But now it can't find the SD card for the maps (presumably because the method of accessing the SD card has changed)!

No doubt Navigon will get round to an update to Aus/NZ to fix the problem but if you have multiple Navigon installs I suggest you don't rush to move your maps to SD card as I did!

And I will be posting the problem on Navigon's Facebook page - as I have had to do in the past!

I'm running Android 5 something on galaxy s5. also have app manager pro for moving apps to external storage.
I read the info from Melvin about how to, uninstall etc.
But nothing a rebel I ignored it, and used app manager to move it.
I only have UK and France installed, info more shows
86.38 MB total
25.19 on device storage
54.09 SD card.

I ran a test drive from London to Port En Bassin, it all seemed to work fine.
The only thing I did notice was that if I zoomed map in and out quickly it did hesitate a little.
if anything else occurs, I'll uninstall and do it the way navigon says.
