Like many, I now have built in SatNav in the car and want a stand alone unit that I can run ONLY the speedcam warnings on.... and it must work in Europe....the smaller (and cheaper) the better.

Do I NEED one with European maps to be able to run the PocketGPSWorld speed camera warnings in Europe ???

Thanks in anticipation

Have you considered running them on your smart phone?

If you want a satnav then theoretically you could run the database without a map, and on Garmin units you would have a very crude 'basemap' anyway if you didn't have European maps, but it could get confusing.

Thanks yes, I did consider that.....but the smartphone is tucked away when driving (!!!)
I also need one in my van as I can't use smartphone app (company lockdown) so all I need is an audible warning....hence cheapest / old satnav ?

Any Garmin would do what you want so I'd just find the cheapest one you can that works, to get around the map issue you could load a free OSM map, there are numerous ones around for Garmin satnavs.
