Hello, I no longer have EPT nor access to TomTom services via an android smartphone after upgrading my Go920 (now at v9.510 / maps Europe v710) .
Have these features been removed with the new firmware and maps and is it possible to downgrade a GO920 to an earlier version, and in that case which one would be advised and where could I find the old firmware and restore procedure ?
Best

Hello Stecha,
I did a backup when I received the GO920 .
Will the restore fix the issue and is an older OS compatible with the last maps ?

And take a Windows backup of what you have got now before restoring. |

What are you referring to as EPT? _________________ David |

It was a feature of the 920 (not in 720 or 520) which magically figured out the GPS location when you lost your satellites. It flashed up a symbol to say it was in use. I used to get it when I went under the odd bridge or two. Worked off them funny thingies, gyro somethings? "Enhanced Positioning Technology".

Well, that's what I thought it was, Dennis. That's why the post asking where to download it doesn't make sense.
It was a gyro in the 920/930 models and the 9.510 application had code to interpret the movement.
Thanks for the confirmation. _________________ David |

Hello,
Thank You very much for your feedback .
Do I understand correct that EPT should still work OK with OS ver 9.510 and latest maps Europe v7.10 ?
I am aware that EPT requires a certain route to calibrate and work OK , I will retry it to make sure the non working was not related to my recent update.

Latest map Europe v710??? That map must be many years old. Latest map is v940. _________________ Dennis
