I must be missing something here ? For over an hour I've followed various threads & links to find warning sound .ogg files, the old ones from my Tomtom Go that I have lost, the beep 1-5, cow, cuckoo set etc but cannot find these anywhere.
All links take me to the same sort of pages, make my own sounds etc or spoken warnings.
Any pointers appreciated. |

I believe that if you plug your TT Go into TomTomHome, you can download them direct from TT, It's been a while sice I've used TThome myself but I'm sure that's how I remember it. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

It's been a long time but I believe they are in the data.chk file, found in the Root of the Unit. _________________ Richard

(Topic moved to the TomTom section so it gets seen by TT-device owners)
Whilst what Oldboy says about "data.chk" is correct, for some reason TomTom also included the basic sound effects as individual .wav files on some models.
(You can put any .wav or .ogg file into the "sounds" folder and it will get added to the list of available sound effects).
I have put together a zip file of those basic sounds, including both the old and new versions of the "polite" chimes.
So jaqk (and anyone who wants it), just PM me with an email address and I'll send you a copy. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
