Anybody using the Brodit centre mount on a 2012 and current Ford Focus think carefully, I fitted mine along with a move clip and swivel mount, the first thing that happened is I caught my hand on the phone when turning the steering wheel, had to pull the steering column to fully extended and still very close, also too low to get a good GPS signal, finally made a insulation strip about 40mm wide and about 7 inches high with move clip top and bottom to bring up to windscreen level for better signal and clear the steering wheel, now changed to a Mondeo which locates in a better position but both the Focus and Mondeo are badly fixed cpmpared to the previous Brodit models I have used. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8

I've just got a 2013 focus and have read the reviews of the Brodit mount after having had one in my Hyundai Coupe and being very happy with that. Doesn't seem to be very good with the way it clips to the edge of the air vent and it being difficult to install.
Currently trying to work out if one of the Osomounts will do the job.
However not sure why you had issues with signal. I did 650 miles last weekend and no signal drop out and that was with the phone in the centre drinks holder next to the hand brake all the time.
Must admit I have previously been very happy with Brodit having based the whole system around the move clips which are brilliant until the latest Focus/Mondeo versions, I had difficulty removing the Focus one, Both rely on double adhesive tape which is not ideal, particulally the Mondeo one which does not sit flat against the dash, although neither dropped off.
Re the phone perhaps the iphone picks up a better signal than the HTC. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8
