I don't know your particular device, but there have been some recent comments by Kenwood users on the web that the method for installing POIs can vary from model to model.
Does your model have a USB connection? It may work from that. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Hi, its the Kenwood one especially made for the VW group (Golf, Eos etc) and to load updates you have to download from PocketGPSworld onto a SD card using the POI loader program from Kenwood then put it in the machine and load it? but thats the problem as it doesnt seem to recognise the card or data on it? it just says go to kenwood for updates?? Thanks |

I don't know if I'm too late with this, but had the sane problem with the SD card and ended up using the USB connection which then worked |

Hi
I don't know if I am too late to respond to this also, but I have had the same problem with the DNX520VBT too.
However, after experimenting, and using the usb at the rear, I think I have discovered the way to do it, I say think because I'm not sure whether I'm seeing the new updated files, or the ones I originally uploaded via usb, some way of checking the date of the files on the unit would be nice.
the method I used is as follows :-
Insert Micro SD card
On the nav screen tap 'Where to'
scroll down to 'Extras'
select 'Custom POIs'
Select 'All Categories'
you should then see an egg timer, which I assume the device is reading the card/unit memory.
a list should then appear showing the different camera categories.
Like I said I'm not sure if it's showing the new ones or not, but if you have never uploaded any files before to the unit, you could use this method to verify if it does or doesn't work. |

If you still have loads of cams, it is not being loaded. Don't forget to reload the full database afterwards though. |
