Garmin Etrex Vista and iPaq 4150 combination

Hi',

I'm new to GPS. I have a Garmin Etrex Vista and an iPaq 4150 PDA.

I want to make the two work together for car use only (the Garmin alone is fine on my pushbike).

I'm confused despite hunting around the Web - What do I need to link the two, what software is available and recommended and where can I get everything?

Any ideas?

You can have a diect cable connection from the Vista to the iPAQ, great for being on foot. Or you can get a data power combination. I dont believe it powers the Vista, they are battery only aren't they? But that would keep the iPAQ charged, this can be car charger connected.

For the combo options make a new posting in the PC-Mobile Dat Cables forum. PC-Mobile Direct will advise you.

I originaly had an iPAQ 3870, Vista and TT3 SW and it worked well, except for the wires everywhere. Changed it to a bluetooth GPS and a iPAQ 2210.

TomTom works for me both on the Vista set up or the BT config, but there may be other recommendations re SW out there.
