Apologies if this is old news, but I've been waiting for this for a while. Strangely, though I have saved up the dosh, I now find myself nervous about purchasing it.

Make sure you have a VERY good play with the new units before you decide to buy, or make very sure you have a way to return it if you are not happy after a week or two.

Don't just look at the way the screen works, actually try to set up some routes to both your frequent destinations and some new addresses. Then try to find some places like railway stations and set up routes to them.
Then think what you'd do if there was a road block ahead and how you would ask the unit to re-route you around it.

Apart from the limited functionality, I read there is a major problem with maintaining HD traffic connectivity with the Go5000/6000.

Tomtom doesn't seem able to recover from the Microsoft settlement which seems to have hamstrung it severely.
