hi
im struggling to get my database to work on my new merc.
ive downloaded the file and done everything it says on the tin and to no avail I just cant get it the file to be seen on the command system
the I have got is by adding a D to the file format to make them GPXD
anyone have a clue what to do?

I'm not sure what you're saying here, did a word get missed out?

Are you saying you have been downloading the .gpx format files, but the Merc sat-nav is expecting ".gpxd"?

I'd never heard of that format so had a look on Google....

One thing I found was this post on GPSBabel, where someone is trying to EXPORT the so-called .gpx files from his merc.

The first answer says this, tellingly....

Whatever the issue is (a bit beyond me!) it doesn't look like just adding a "d" to the file extension will be enough!

We have a specific file set for the Mercedes Comand system. Are you saying that the new version has changed the required format?
