Driving along this afternoon and the 750 Live suddenly flicked into reboot.. OK this has happened before and it reboots OK.

This time however it would not go to reboot but has kept on cycling on the Tom-Tom Drums and the data screen.
Every few seconds switching off the data screen - going blank then the Tom-Tom logo and drums and then again the data screen.

I have tried
Pressing and holding the button -- no effect
Pressing and releasing quickly -- no effect.
Tried connecting to computer got on and Updated - switched off and removed from computer -- back to square one. Cycle of TT screen and drums again.

Anyone any ideas???
Getting desperate?

Maurice

Try this ......... connect to the computer. Make an Explotrer, not Home, backup. See here:
http://www.tomtomforums.com/t17864-how-backup-contents-your-unit-computer-how-restore.html

Then format the unit. Don't use quickformat.

Restore the backup.

Sorry I haven't been back to answer -- but we have unfortunately been in the South of France for the past month !!!!

I did find out what was wrong after sending my TOM750L away to London to be checked -- by www.satnavrepairservice.com
It was the push button stem broken only found when the device was opened up.
They turned the Tom around in 3 days.
There was a quote of £35 reduced by £9 if they didn't meet that 3 day target...

It has been working fine.
I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any one with problems.

Maurice
