Home has just offered app v9.510.

Unfortunately the version isn't included in the "What has changed" list on the TT website.

Well that's a surprise. Thought we'd seen the last of software support for Nav2 devices. Can't find anything about it, as you say. Have posted on TT's Forum. A bit doubtful about being the first to download anything these days!

I copied the device contents to a card and updated that, leaving the device on the old app.

I've only played with it indoors and can't see any differences so far. I'll try it on a journey later and if there are any problems I can whip the card out and revert to the old app.

I'm assuming bug fixes. The only one that bugs me is the postcode download from Home which does not allow a full postcode search?

Full postcode search works fine, but I don't recall ever having a problem with it on my 720.

Well I'll keep my fingers crossed. Does loading to an sd card protect you against a bootloader change?

Edit: just tried postcode search after not using it for months, and it seems OK. The trick being to use the 'Anywhere' option rather than a house number.

Edit2:

Version 9.510
(GO 520/720/920, GO x30, GO x40 LIVE, GO x50 (LIVE), ONE IQ Routes Edition and Pearl, XL IQ Routes Edition / XL IQ Routes Edition 2 / XL (IQ Routes) Classic, XL IQ Routes LIVE, XXL / XXL Classic, Start 2 / Start Classic / Start XL but not Start 1))

Your information sharing choice is stored when the software is updated so you don’t have to enter your choice again.
We have improved how cities with different names in different languages are handled.
We have improved the operation when in average speed zones.
Users in Brazil can now report safety cameras using the quick report button in the Driving View.

I used a card reader so I don't see how it could change the bootloader on the device.

I've just checked and both the card and the device say Boot 5.5120 and, in my backups, bootloaderversion.txt has shown the same version since at least Nov 2010. I seem to remember a discussion here two or three years ago about stopping it from updating, but can't remember if I did anything and, if I did, what!

What bootloader version do you have?

5.5120 on the 530, and 5.5277 on the 550. I'll see what, if anything, happens when I upgrade.

No change to bootloader, but I see that there is a mark that it is 'NF compliant'.

This NF Mark (Norme Française) was already on 9.465 and means the GPS is conform to our recent "Danger Zones" legislation as, in France, GPS are not allowed to display the exact radars positions anymore.

Ah well, we've done well to talk about nothing much for so long then [mostly down to me I think].

one thing I've noticed on my 950 live is the traffic bar was now showing traffic delays 120 miles away.
