|
|
Hi
There are roadworks on the A55 in North Wales between approximately: 53.28586, -3.88812 (west end Pen-y-Clip tunnel) and 53.26017, -3.97223 (Llanfairfechan roundabout). The speed limit is 40 mph both ways and there there are several sets of specs cameras looking at both west and east bound traffic. I was not in my car when I passed through today and was unable to record the precise location of the cameras so I'm unable to add them to the database.
I'm posting in the hope that there might be a way that someone from PGPSW might be able to add something to the database.
Cheers - Andy |

There's already a bunch that I can see marked on the submission map (verifiers can see everyone's submissions), so I think someone has set the ball in motion. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Only 2 locations were checked. We'd need actual locations to be honest so best bet is to go for a drive and bag yourself a free subscription ;)

I might be through there in my car early in the week. If so, I'll film on the way through and work out using Google Earth (several gantrys very close).

Just for info on these, the roadworks have been suspended for the Easter break and all the cones removed. There are signs saying the speed, sorry, safety cameras are not in use but it would be a brave person who exceeds 70 between them at a guess!!
No idea how soon after Easter the road works and hence the cameras will be reinstated - will post something here when I find out... |

The A55 is likely to be busy right through the school holidays, and by all accounts they vary quite a bit. Guessing they got as far as they could without starting the next phase and called it a day. |

... and the cones are back as of this morning, despite many schools in England still being on Easter holiday (and hence probably more traffic than normal). Presumably the cameras are live at 40 mph again too. |

...and just to close this off the road works are all done and dusted now and the cameras gone. |
