Location listener issue

Hi, recently installed cameralert on HTC flyer (android 3.2.1). Using Google maps & navigator.
Alerts are not working & get repeating status msg "starting location listener" with occasional msgs "Location set by GPS" just to ring the changes!. I have been blundering around trying this & then that including reinstalling locations etc. GPS & navigation are working ok.
Any suggestions?

One thing that just might be relevant - Google play screwed up some of downloaded apps following a deregister of one of other Android devices (i had to reinstall Cameralert).
Looking forward to some help.

this is a bit of a crapshot but can you try selecting the alternative GPS start in the CamerAlert settings?
