Not seeing Europe on my system at the moment. Mind, Home seems to have had an issue as it wanted to complete an update, which then just removed the app. I had to restart my PC to allow it to finish properly. But now it doesn't offer all the various country cameras that it used to. It also offers to make a backup before updating. Not sure what to think really - did Home just break, or is the Europe map not out?

Western Europe map shown as available after an update to Home (v2.9.4.3058) had been installed.

It is downloading now.

I've downloaded the UK&ROI map onto a 550 Live and a Via 130.

The map size for the 550 was 219 MB (plus another 8 MB or so for a seperate postcode file). Map version given as 905.4575.

The map size for the Via 130 was 295.6 MB. Map version given as 9.05.

Why is there such a difference in the map file size for the two devices?

Are there big differences between the maps? Is the fact that the 550 is a Live device a factor? I'm just curious. Anyone have any ideas?

I was surprised at the differences between the same map on different models. My house number does not exist on my One but on a friends Start25 it does. So it seems there is a lot of detail differences that can add up.

Europe 905 for the Go940 is for sale but not for an update. I phoned TomTom to see if my map update was working and was told that for devices that use Home, the release will not be until next week.

However I have just been offered 905 UK maps for the Go530 which uses Home.

I have just downloaded and installed the Europe v905.4754 (2417.1 Mb) map onto my 950 Live.

Download time was about 45 minutes and install time was about 20 minutes.

All looks OK at the moment.

The map finally has the "South West Perimeter Road" that's south west of Bicester in Oxfordshire.

That is odd, I would have thought the maps were the same for the 950 and 940.

GO950Live just updated to 'Europe' v905.4754 - started at 10.20 and fully finished at 10.47. - all through Home2.9.4.3058.
