Hi

Using MM2004 on my PDA I find that it consistently shows the position as 10 - 12m East of the true postion. This has been noted in several locations across the North East / NWest of England.

I've tried posting on the MM support forum re this, but my first post was never responded to and the 2nd one MM never even allowed through to be posted! (Have they something to hide, or are they just rude? Rolling Eyes )

My GPS (a Bluei) gives WGS84 coordinates and the maker knows of no reason why it should give an incorrect position.

So the question is, have others found a consistent positional error with MM?

(I should add that this apart I'm very happy with MM and indeed with the Bluei which has phenomenal battery life).

Cheers

This is already discussed on this page under the title "Map Accuracy and WGS84 Datum Shift"

No real answer though after all this time.

Thanks for that. The thread you refer to makes interesting reading.

At least I know a workaround now (I'd missed the ability to edit the datum shift in map properties). But MM's attitude to all this is a bit annoying isn't it?
Evil or Very Mad
Cheers
