I'm sure many of you will be buying, or hoping to receive, some gadgets this Christmas. We want to hear what satnav related goodies you have on your Christmas lists.

GPS equipped smartphones, drones, trackers, handhelds, satellite guided telescopes, whetever it is, if it has a GPS in, or is a related accessory, then we want to hear about it.

Post in this thread and we might even drum up a prize for the whackiest gift idea, but it must be GPS related!

I'm hoping for a Nexus 7 which, with Viewranger, would provide me with a decent map based solution for navigating in the hills Smile

I'm hoping that Santa will bring me a Sony A65 TSLR camera as it has on board GPS to help me remember where I took all my photos.

Cellphone with GPS chip, Tablet with GPS as well as good cameras, front and back. Think AGPS is not as good as a GPS chip.
Happy Holidays to all. Stay safe and healthy. Health really all you have.

I'd like a point-and-shoot camera with GPS. Having said that though I tend to use my phone for most photo's so not sure how much it would get used...

I have been promised a GARMIN S3 GPS GOLF WATCH for xmas. This watch tells you the distances to the Green etc when playing Golf. The problem is you still have to hit the ball accurately yourself. If the wife forgets then I shall have to buy it myself. It also monitors how far you have walked etc but that does not bother me.
OH! It can also be used as a normal watch to tell you the time of day.!!!!!!

As a small competition I'm going to give a prize to one of the posters in this thread.

Let us know what GPS or GPS related gift(s) you received this Christmas by posting in this thread.

On New Years day I'll choose one post at random as the winner.

I got my Garmin Golf Watch from Santa. It is the S1 model as the S3 model was too expensive. It still does the main things like calculates the distance to the target (Golf Green) so I am happy with that.

I got a Nexus 10. Seems to GPS OK, but havn't tried it in the car yet. I feel that mounting a 10" tablet just might be a bit of a problem Shocked Lovely big display though. Very Happy

Nah, Not really!, But "they" do say don't rely solely on a GPS and don't go out into the hills without a map, so it's kind of an accessory, albeit three generations removed - I'll remove it if it offends?. Sad
(I did put it in brackets though).

Hope everyone had a Good One. Very Happy
